Life is a funny thing. Usually, you travel intentionally; you know where you’re going, and how you’ll get there. Sometimes, though, that intention is the only part of the journey that goes to plan.

We have all heard horror stories about ruined vacations, and amusing tales of getting hopelessly lost. Maybe, in those occasions, the traveler ended up where they needed to be, but just didn’t know it. When that happens to you, take a good look around before assuming everything’s gone wrong. What is there to see or do? What is there to learn?

We take this quote as a reminder that sometimes a guiding force – divine, cosmic, or coincidental – puts us right where we need to be. When we’re lucky, that’s also where we intended to go.

  1. Love your thoughts on wandering and getting lost. Being lost scares us, but sometimes it can lead us right where we need to be. When I left my former career, I was scared thinking about what I would do next. It was scary, frustrating, and difficult at times, but I always found I was where I needed to be. Reminding myself to live in the moment helped me feel better and instead of fighting and wondering if I would ever found my way, I discovered a path that inspired me to keep going.
