Happy Lunar New Year! Also known as Chinese New Year, this is one of our favorite celebrations every year. In the days leading up to, and for several days after New Year Day, we enjoy so many festivities! Our three favorite things? Lion Dances, Dragon Dances, and soooo much amazing food! These fun scenes were captured at @asiatimessquare in Grand Prairie, Texas, with food and traditions from so many Asian cultures, with an amazing, diverse crowd enjoying the day.
"From a mountain of despair, a stone of hope..." It seems so appropriate that we celebrate Martin Luther King, Jr. so early in each new year, with hope that this year will be illuminated by that stone of hope, socially and personally, inward and outward, large and small.
Big coats are awesome for keeping warm, but you know what they're not awesome for? Getting stuff out of your pockets. Solution? PortaPocket!
Every year, the National Park Service offers
Let's just say that not everyone applies the Christmas Spirit evenly. 😆 Bonus points for thinking outside the box and not being a complete Grinch, tho! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Wishing everyone a Happy and Prosperous New Year! Wherever you're going, whatever you're up to, we hope your final destination is happiness and success. But remember, this new year, and every day in it, is just like a latte: It will be as good as you make it, so make it great!
As the Alsace Region's Capitale de Noël, Strasbourg does not disappoint! In less than 60 seconds, we barely scratch the surface of the city's 13 Christmas Markets. From the Place de la Cathédrale, to Hôtel de Ville, to the giant tree at Place Kléber in the center of town, nearly 400 chalets featured everything Christmas! The city is very walkable and, during the Christmas season, the city center is vehicle free from 11am to 8pm daily.
Ladies and Gentlemen, the absolutely stunning Christmas Tree at the Ritz Paris! Along with the cutest Teddy Bear and the gorgeous entry on Place Vendome.
After climbing as many as 415 steps (depending on where you started*), the Basilica of Sacre-Coeur is a welcome and beautiful site! (Note: You can save the workout and take the funicular; your Navigo metro pass will get you on.)

Did You Know? - The Fee-Free Edition!Every year, the National Park Service offers five days with zero entrance fees! It's a great opportunity to stretch your budget while exploring the parks. The question is, where should you go? We have some suggestions...January - Virgin Islands National ParkWhen the rest of the United States is dealing with winter, the average temps in the Virgin Islands range from 74 to 84 degrees F! Over 40% of the park is underwater with diverse snorkeling opportunities.April - Grand Canyon National ParkSpring in Arizona is beautiful, and the weather matches. Afternoon highs in April stay in the mid-80s, climing to the low-hundreds by mid-May.August - Mount Rainier National ParkAugust is wildflower season on Mount Rainier, rewarding travelers with fields of spring colors in the middle of summer!September - Grand Teton National ParkDoes it get better than autumn in the mountains? Aspen trees turn brilliant yellow, crowds start to thin, and afternoon temps are still comfy - around 70F.November - Joshua Tree National ParkFall in Joshua Tree means few visitors, almost no rainfall, and lower temperatures (67F average), the perfect combination. Plus clear, dark skies for truly stellar star gazing. For more on the Fee Free Days, check out "How to Visit America's National Parks for Free" at TravelLatte.net: travellatte.net/how-to-visit-americas-national-parks-for-free/ ... Big coats are awesome for keeping warm, but you know what they're not awesome for? Getting stuff out of your pockets. Solution? PortaPocket! Before heading out for a fun day in the cold weather, we tucked a few essentials into a small PortaPocket and strapped it to Rob's sleeve. This way, it's easy to get to, and it's securely fastened in a spot where we can keep an eye on it - or an extra hand, if necessary. Metro tickets and a few Euros, and we are ready to go! 👍(#ProTip: Lip balm would have fit in there nicely, and would have been a great thing to have brought with us. 🙄)~-----~-----~-----~-----~-----~-----~-----~-----~-----~#partnership #travel #travellife #travelhacks #portapocket @PortaPocket ...
