We’re kicking off a new series of inspirational and motivational images and quotes related to traveling. And we’re doing it with one of our favorites:
“We travel, some of us forever, to seek other states, other lives, other souls.”
– Anais Nin
Anais Nin was an essayist and memorialist, born to Cuban parents in Neuilly-sur-Seine, France, in 1903. She was raised in France, and lived also in Spain and Cuba, but spent most of her life in the United States where she rose to prominence. Her books included Delta of Venus and A Spy in the House of Love, and a series of journals published after her death.
She is the author of another favorite quote: “We don’t see things as they are, we see them as we are.”
What’s your favorite travel quote?
I have never heard of Anais Nin before, interesting. I honestly don’t have a favorite travel quote, but there are several I like. Corinne & Jim at Reflections Enroute post a weekly travel inspiration quote post which includes a lot of good ones.
Hi Jessica – Corinne & Jim’s posts served as additional inspiration for us to follow suit. We shared some on Social Media, and it finally dawned on us to put them on the blog, too! I don’t know that we have just one favorite, but many of them seem to fit us well. Thanks for stopping by!
