The "Love Boat" continues to elevate its star-studded onboard beverage program ahead of other cruise lines.
Hola Amigos, y feliz Dia de los Muertos! Did you know that this day has been celebrated for more than 3,000 years (!!!) starting with the Aztec goddess of the dead, Mictecacihuatl?In 1980, UNESCO added the celebration to its Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity list. It's the day we celebrate our dearly departed with bright orange marigolds to attract their spirits. We decorate with brightly colored streamers (papel picado) and make ofrendas, or offerings of their favorite foods (often delicious tamales!), drinks and sweets, like the popular candy skulls, or calaveras.
It seems like a party atmosphere (similar to Halloween), but it is one of the most important days on the Latino calendar. We hope you have a wonderous day honoring your ancestors and beloved departed, and that their wisdom and council guide you safely through your days.
