Travel Tips
A simple travel tip to help airline workers soothe your pet while flying:
Write your pet’s name on their airline kennel!
You might think flying is stressful, but just imagine how hard it must be on your pets! Cooped up in kennels, seeing no familiar faces or places, and being moved around without a clue to help them understand what’s going on.
By the time your pets kennel is getting loaded, chances are they are seriously stressed. Airline workers understand, and will often try to soothe the pets in their care by talking to them. The extra comfort of hearing their own name can reassure your pet that there is at least something familiar. They may not know the people they see, but hearing their name means someone knows them.
You can help by writing your pets name on their carrier before dropping them off. That little bit of information takes just seconds to add, but can help keep them at least a little calmer while traveling.
