One of our favorite writers of all time – indeed, one of the world’s best loved writers – is Mark Twain. His tails of adventure and travel span a lifetime, and have moved generations. From boys plying the Mississippi River, to adults traveling the world, his stories brought the world into our hands.
It should be no surprise that a number of relatable and motivating quotes sprang from his works, talks, and interviews. This is one of our favorites:
“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do rather than the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.“
If you don’t live by these words already, we hope you will take them to heart. Whether traveling the world, or navigating daily life, we should always explore, dream, and discover.

Love it! Mark Twain was one of my favorite authors and this quote is perfect for travel inspiration
Thanks Brooke! Next to Shakespeare, we think Mark Twain is The Guy. I don’t think we’ve ever picked up a book by Twain and not wanted to travel somewhere. That’s great inspiration!
