Your stuff is never more vulnerable than when it’s unattended and out in the open, and it’s hard to keep an eye on things when the water beckons! For that reason, leave personal items and identification in your room, and leave your room key with the front desk. Need your key for towels, drinks or snacks? Ask the staff if you can show them your room key, then take it back to the front desk. If you explain why, they’re likely to be helpful and will remember you.
