You might have to snap a couple of pictures, in or outside of the cab, to be sure you get both the company’s phone number and your taxi’s number. If you realize something was left behind, call them as soon as you can. If they haven’t gotten far, the driver may be able to bring your item right to you, though you may have to pay a fare for your lost item’s ride back to you.
