Winter storms wreak havoc on air travel every year. Minimize risks with direct flights when you can.
If you have not yet booked flights for winter and holiday travel, try to book direct flights whenever possible. Especially during winter months, every connecting flight you have to make is one more invitation for delays. Even if you connect in a warmer city without winter storms, trouble at other airports can still cause delays. If you can arrange direct flights between home and away, you’re much more likely to get there (and back) on time and less stressed.
