#Travel140 #TravelTip: Always pack a Sweater! Even in summer. Even for guys. You never know when you’ll need it, and you’ll always be glad you have it.
This week’s tip is for the guys from a guy who learned from the ladies. I see a lot of packing tips geared towards women that say you should always pack a sweater because you never know when you’ll need one.
Typically, I feel comfortable when the thermometer is down in the 70s, but some places seem to like icicles forming on the vents, even in the middle of summer. I used to suffer in silence, while my lovely travel partner magically pulled a sweater from her purse and paraded around in toasty comfort. Smart gal (despite sticking with me for so many years).
After one too many afternoons feeling like an eskimo, I finally learned to follow this advice, and can feel smug and comfy myself. My go-to is a microfiber pullover that is wind and rain resistant. It’s light and easy to squish up into small ball in my bag. The trick is just getting in the habit of stashing a lightweight sweater or windbreaker in your daypack, even on the hottest days.
